Helping You To Thrive
Beyond The Job: Life Skills
We are very proud of our award-winning Early Careers programs. Our unique approach to investing in our colleagues as people, not just as employees, has helped us build some of the strongest early careers programs in our local communities and industry.
Our mantra is “we go beyond the qualification” and through our Life Skills Program, we do that every day; helping our colleagues to learn and grow life skills, rather than just what they need for a successful career.

Ontic Life Essentials Program
The Ontic Life Essentials (OLE) Program is a rolling schedule of life skills and wellbeing modules that is part of our ongoing investment in developing our Early Careers colleagues. OLE provides our younger team members with opportunities to learn and grow as people, not just employees.
Very few of these skills contribute to a formal qualification, but we believe that by investing in, and helping our younger colleagues navigate life outside of work, we are role-modelling the kind and collegiate types of behavior we want to see them replicate within the workplace.
While the OLE Program is only available in the UK at the moment, we will be expanding it into the US in future.
- Personal financial literacy
- Life event planning
- Cooking on a budget
- Basic home maintenance
- Leadership coaching skills
- And more
Personal financial literacy

We automatically enrol all our Apprentices and Graduates on age-appropriate financial planning and literacy modules to help them plan for now and the future.
