ONTIC DONATES LAPTOPS TO GLOUCESTER ENGINEERING TRAINING

November 30, 2022

Ontic, the leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineered parts for the global aerospace and defense industries, is proud to support Gloucester Engineering Training (GET) through the donation of laptops to support its learners.

Ontic has partnered with GET on its early careers program for around a decade, and the company is committed to helping make a difference – especially in the local community. Ontic handed the laptops over ahead of GET’s annual careers evening yesterday [29 November 2022] where both companies were joined by a wealth of local businesses to promote engineering apprenticeships to the next generation of eager students.

Ontic signed the Tomorrow’s Engineers Code during Tomorrow’s Engineers Week in November, as a commitment to driving inclusion, inspiring connections, showcasing engineering and improving impact. This donation to GET is just one of the many ways the company is already meeting its promise.

Diane Paul, Early Careers Lead, said: “Supporting GET is important to us. Our apprentices attend GET and it is one of the main learning centres in the local area, so we want to make sure they have the equipment to support everybody who needs this.”

Warren Thomas, CEO at GET, said: “I would like to thank Ontic for their very supportive donation of laptops to support our learners at GET. These laptops will be utilised by learners who need additional support whilst at GET and for those who don’t have access to laptops at home, allowing the apprentices to access learning materials remotely and support them on their apprenticeship journey. Thank you in supporting the development of the county’s future engineers.”

Applications for Ontic’s engineering apprenticeship are now open. If you would like to join Team Ontic, please refer to our early careers page www.ontic.com/earlycareers
