Ontic, a leading OEM and MRO services provider for established aircraft in the commercial, military, and rotorcraft markets, has been tipped as One to Watch, as well as placing in a number of individual categories at the Best Companies Live awards Q3 2022.

The Best Companies awards are based on scores and feedback from employees and cover key themes including leadership and wellbeing. 79% of Ontic people shared their views via the annual employee engagement survey – a significant increase on the industry standard response rate of 71% – leading to Ontic ranking 10th in the Best Manufacturing Companies and as the 131st Best Large Company to work for.

Ontic was also recognized as One to Watch, highlighting businesses set to impress in the future.

Gareth Hall, CEO, said: “We want to be recognized as a great company, inside and out, by our colleagues, partners, customers, local and global communities. Our placings in the Best Companies awards reinforce our commitment to our people, and I am proud that we are being recognized for this externally.”

Ontic has strengthened its leadership capability and aligned its structure enabling it to be a truly global organization. Supporting this, there has always been a commitment to development, with the belief that ‘learning never ends’. Whether undertaking formal training, academic qualifications or a secondment to one of Ontic’s various global facilities, the opportunities for its people are endless.

Ontic’s performance at the awards can also be tied to its people-centric approach where culture and wellbeing are always a priority. Ontic is proud to be a force of good in our communities, running a busy program of events from volunteering to fundraising. But it also cares about its people. Boasting a partnership with employee support consultancy, Lifeworks, Ontic delivers a much broader package to all aspects of mental and physical wellbeing than simply support and advice.

Helen Gardiner, Global HR Director, added: “I’m delighted that Ontic has been recognized through Best Companies as a great place to work. Ultimately, we’re a fast growing company that is determined to ensure we have a thriving culture in which people feel valued and can give their best. Our people really care about what they do, the company and the people they work with and this comes across as soon as you walk in the door.”
