Ontic has opened its first dedicated maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Miramar, Florida.
The new $10M, 64,000 square foot facility will expand Ontic’s capacity to deliver OEM-certified repairs with consistent turnaround times.

Ontic has opened its first dedicated maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in Miramar, Florida. The new $10 million, 64,000 square foot Center of Excellence expands support for customers of Ontic-manufactured parts and systems and becomes the company’s eighth site worldwide.
The facility brings together Ontic’s U.S. based MRO teams, equipment, and processes under one roof. By consolidating repair expertise into a single dedicated hub, the site improves turnaround times and ensures consistent, transparent service delivery across critical aircraft systems.
The Miramar facility has recently received FAA approval, enabling Ontic to deliver certified repairs directly to customers and distributors. As the license holder for thousands of product lines, Ontic retains the proprietary data, tooling, and test equipment required to repair components to OEM standards. This ensures repairs that are longer-lasting and backed by an OEM warranty, providing operators with the assurance that every component meets its original engineering specification.
The state-of-the-art site is fitted with an in-house paint room, vibration-testing, machine shop, and portable dark room, providing end-to-end MRO support across electro-mechanical, avionics, actuation, and hydraulics. Designed with growth in mind, the site also includes an additional 12,000 square feet of expansion space to scale as Ontic secures new product licenses and brings additional product lines into its MRO network.
Ontic is actively recruiting to support the new facility, with approximately 150 new high-skill roles being created across engineering, technical operations, customer service, supply chain, and logistics functions.
Jack Karapetyan, Vice President of Global MRO Operations at Ontic, commented, “The opening of our first-ever Ontic MRO Center of Excellence marks an important first milestone in the creation of our new global MRO network, which will improve turnaround time and transparency, and transform how we support airlines and operators. This investment further positions us as an industry leader, both enhancing and expanding our existing operations while increasing future growth opportunities across our original equipment and MRO operations.”
The opening of the Miramar facility is just part of Ontic’s wider $30 million global investment in MRO facilities, which also includes the establishment of its new MRO hub in Tewkesbury, UK. Together, the two sites create a coordinated network designed to support customers across multiple regions with consistent quality and reliable MRO turnaround times.
“Miramar brings together the people, skills and infrastructure required to support increasingly complex repair work,” added Jack Karapetyan. “We’re building a team here that understands the importance of precision, speed and reliability for operators who depend on these components every day.”
